Calgary's only dermatologist-led Botox practice, with locations in Calgary North, Calgary South, and Okotoks. Real Botox® Cosmetic. Conservative dosing. Specialist hands.
Every smile, every frown, every glance leaves a trace. In your twenties, the line vanishes the moment expression stops. By your thirties, it lingers. By your forties, it stays.
Botox doesn't erase expression. It softens the lines that movement leaves behind, while leaving your face free to do what faces do. At Rejuvenation Dermatology, that work happens under the eye of board-certified dermatologists who treat facial anatomy as a discipline, not a service.
A line that appears only with expression in your twenties becomes a line that lives on your face by your fifties. Botox interrupts that progression at its source: the signal between nerve and muscle.

Sculpting the lower third. Masseter Botox for jawline slimming and TMJ relief. Lip flips, gummy smile correction, and chin texture refinement.
Beyond the face. Platysmal bands for a softer neckline, trap-tox for posture and shoulder slimming, calf slimming, and hyperhidrosis relief.
Health Canada approved for chronic conditions. Often eligible for extended health insurance coverage when administered by a physician.
One molecule. Thirty indications. Every plan drawn from your anatomy, your goals, and the trained eye of a dermatologist.

You meet one-on-one with a dermatology team member to discuss your goals, review your facial anatomy in repose and animation, and build a personalized plan. We map the muscles that drive each line, identify which fall under cosmetic versus medical indication, and walk you through expected onset, longevity, and cost before anything is decided.
Botox is a purified form of botulinum toxin type A that temporarily blocks the chemical signal between a motor nerve and the muscle it controls. Less signal, less contraction, less line. Onset begins in 3 to 5 days. Full effect at two weeks. Wear-off across three to four months.

Book a consultation at any of our three Calgary-area dermatology clinics. We will map your anatomy, discuss your goals, and build a plan, before any treatment is scheduled.
Botox pricing in Calgary is typically structured per unit, with most reputable clinics charging between $10 and $15 per unit. The number of units required depends on the area treated, the strength of the underlying muscle, and your aesthetic goals. A standard forehead and glabellar treatment may use 20 to 40 units, while masseter slimming may use 40 to 60 units per side. At Rejuvenation Dermatology, all pricing is reviewed and quoted transparently during your consultation, before any treatment is scheduled.
Most patients see results that last three to four months. First-time patients may notice slightly shorter duration on initial treatment, with subsequent rounds tending to last longer as the treated muscles condition over time. Factors that influence longevity include metabolism, dosing, muscle strength, and post-treatment activity. We typically recommend a maintenance cadence of every 12 to 16 weeks.
Most patients describe the sensation as a light pinch or quick sting. The needles used for Botox are extremely fine, and each injection takes seconds. For patients with needle sensitivity, we can apply a topical numbing cream beforehand. The entire appointment, including consultation review, mapping, and injection, typically runs 15 to 30 minutes.
You will likely see softening begin around day three to five. Peak effect is reached at approximately two weeks, which is when we book any required touch-ups. If your result has not fully developed by the two-week mark, we will assess and adjust at no additional consultation cost.
Frozen results are a function of overdosing, poor placement, or technique that ignores how the upper and lower face balance one another. A dermatologist-led plan starts with restraint. We dose conservatively, preserve animation in the brow and mid-face, and prefer the option to add more at two weeks over the alternative of treating an over-dosed face. The goal is a softer, fresher version of you, not a different face.
Both are botulinum toxin type A neuromodulators, but they differ in formulation, unit conversion, and onset. Dysport typically begins working in 2 to 3 days versus Botox at 3 to 5, and uses roughly 2.5 units of Dysport to match 1 unit of Botox. Many patients respond equally well to either. Some patients prefer Dysport for larger areas like the forehead, and Botox for finer precision work around the eyes and mouth. We carry Botox, Dysport, and Nuceiva, and recommend the right product for each area during your consultation.
Preventative Botox, sometimes called "baby Botox," is increasingly common among patients in their late twenties and early thirties. By softening dynamic lines before they become static creases, patients can delay the formation of deeper wrinkles by years. We use very small doses spread across a wider treatment map for this approach. It is most appropriate for patients with visible dynamic lines at rest, and we screen carefully to ensure it is the right call for your anatomy.
Yes. Botox is Health Canada approved for chronic migraine prevention, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), and is commonly used off-label for TMJ disorder and bruxism (jaw clenching and grinding). These medical indications are often eligible for partial or full coverage under extended health insurance plans, since they are administered by a physician under a medical indication. Bring your insurance details to consultation and our team can help you understand your eligibility.
Trap-tox refers to Botox injected into the trapezius muscles of the upper shoulders and neck, used to slim the neckline, relieve tension, and reduce shoulder bulk. It is a safe, off-label use of botulinum toxin type A when performed by an experienced injector with knowledge of cervical anatomy. We treat trap-tox at all three Calgary locations as part of our dermatology-led practice.
Botox is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is also not recommended for patients with certain neuromuscular conditions, active skin infections at the injection site, or known sensitivity to any component of the formulation. Patients on certain medications, including some antibiotics, may require timing adjustments. Your consultation includes a full health screen before treatment is offered.
Botox at Rejuvenation Dermatology is administered by a team of medical professionals operating under the direct oversight of board-certified dermatologists. Our injectors are trained in facial anatomy, dosing strategy, and dermatology-grade aesthetic technique, with annual continuing education from Allergan and other manufacturers.
